Clean the brush regularly, at least once a week, to prevent the buildup of makeup, oils, and bacteria that can irritate the skin or cause breakouts. When cleaning the brush, avoid getting water into the base where the bristles are attached, as it can weaken the glue and cause the bristles to fall out. Air dry the brush, preferably in a horizontal position or with the bristles facing down, to prevent water from entering the base and causing damage.
